I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist in June because I'm having awful nightsweats. I soak the bed, it's really bad. At least DH is a good sport about it, but I'm sort of embarrassed.

Is anyone else out there having this issue? I'm still nursing but I'm not sure whether that would make a difference.

I get night sweats and I have no idea why. In fact, last night was a bad one. I started having night sweats years ago, before I was ever pregnant, so I don't think pregnancy or nursing has anything to do with it for me.

I know they are normal PP, but I'm not sure whether you are considered PP for these purposes. Maybe? Please post what the doc says. I'm curious for my own sake!

I had night sweats when I was on the bcp. They stopped after stopping the pill, and I haven't had them while pg or BFing.

Oh yes!!! I totally forgot I had these. And yes, they were horrible. I would also soak the bed, my nightclothes etc... I think it was related to nursing. They stopped so long ago now, I can't even remember when.

Hope yours go soon,

Love Natalie, x

I've always had night sweats. They come and go. Sometimes I will get them several times per night every night for a while. Then I will go weeks or even months without them. I've never been able to figure out a pattern. Paulie also gets night sweats.

I've learned to always keep a spare set or two of sheets. When I'm on a run of nightly sweats, I make up the bed with a waterproof pad between two layers of fitted sheets so all I have to do is strip the bed and unfold a top sheet. My blanket is usually fine as long as I keep the top sheet pulled up to my neck.

I have them too! At first I was just assuming that it was my body getting rid of the extra fluid from carrying the baby - but now it's been a month. It is not every single night - but definitely still having them at least 4-5 times a week. I was kind of just assuming that it had to do with BF.

I had an underactive thyroid in the beginning of my pregnancy but haven't had it checked since. I'm interested to see what you find out at the doctor!

Well, I'm not BFing and I get them too. Sad

Like Kendra, there is no pattern to them. Some nights I'm perfectly fine, others my PJs are soaked. Its gotten worse since being pg and I just thought it was hormone related, like every other freakin thing. Rolling Eyes

Very interested to see what your Dr says . . .

ETA - I sleep with a fan on me AND the heater vents are closed in our bedroom. Its freezing and I still manage to sweat! Confused
