I finally have some good news! I thought I would share since all I seem to do is vent or complain.
I had my weekly cervical length u/s today. It actually grew! It was going between 2.9 and 3.1. Today is was over 4cm. The doctor was shocked and didn't believe it at first. He rechecked it a few times and it stayed above 4! So, it is looking like no cerclage is needed. Maybe I can have the home birth that I really want!
It's so nice to get good news once in awhile! I am so relieved!

Good news, although I would think shrinking would be better? Clearly, I'm not in the medical field, but good to hear your happy news.

My cervix was short with DS#1 and he was born at 26 weeks. I do not want to go through that again!

This is him just after birth. 2lb 6oz.

A short cervix can't hold the baby in, so to speak, which is probably why her last little pumpkin came so very early. My MIL had an incompetent cervix, so she had my DH at 25 wks and my SIL at 26 wks. They gave her a cerclage w/ three of her four pgs to try to hold the baby in as long as possible. Long is good - until it's actually time to deliver anyway!

What a miracle! Holy Moly!

My friend had a 25 weeker at 1lb 6 oz. who is now about 4-5 months old and about 10 pounds. I'm so happy to hear these success stories but how terrifying for you all.
