Has any research been done to find out if HG sufferers have an abnormality or injury to the Area postrema? Most of the pharmaceuticals we're given effect the dopamine receptors of the Area postrema, directly related to the vomiting center.

My own propensity toward nausea began with a whiplash injury, and I've spoken to other women who have had dramatically increased nausea in pregnancy after car accidents.

Could this be added to the questionnaire?

That is an interesting idea. My HG got worse with each pregnancy but I did have whiplash between #2 & #3 and #3 was much more severe.

I haven't posted in here in ages, but I find this topic really interesting. My 1st HG pregnancy was difficult, 32 weeks of getting sick all the time, but my 2nd was 100 x times worse and lasted through delivery. And I had whiplash when my 1st baby was only 9 months old, so between pregnancy 1 and pregnancy 2. I wonder if there is a corrolations.
